The Marketplace for Recombinant Drugs:

It is estimated in the Datamonitor Report (Recombinant Therapeutic Proteins, The rDNA Market to 2010, Datamonitor Americas, New York, N.Y. 2004), that annual sales of recombinant protein drugs (biopharmaceuticals), will exceed U.S. $53 billion by the year 2010.

Phage is targeting protein drug products where they believe they can capture 30% of the existing worldwide market, or dominate the market with the introduction of superior 2nd generation forms of the product. All of Phage’s targeted drugs have over $1 billion in actual or projected annual sales.

The following Table gives examples of the marketplace for Phage’s major portfolio products.

Phage will consider partnering opportunities for each of these products, under a world-wide, exclusive license.

Phage’s Business
Phage Biotechnology’s business focus is the manufacturing of protein drugs whose patents have expired (bio-similars), and new long-lasting PEGylated protein products. In addition, Phage offers contract manufacturing services to third parties. We believe Phage’s unique protein production process will make it possible to offer these drugs at substantial price discounts to the established branded protein drugs. In the arena of new drug development, Phage’s proprietary PEGylation technology will permit the company to introduce new versions of longer-acting biologics which should compete well in these billion dollar markets.

Corporate Objectives

Phage has established certain objectives for the corporation to obtain. Those objectives are:

  • Market our first drug, human growth hormone, by 2010; and capture and maintain at least a 30% market share;

  • Contract manufacture FGF-1 for Phase II & III clinical trials;

  • Initiate clinical trials for PEG-Interferon and PEG-Growth Hormone in 2009;

  • Initiate the pre-clinical development of novel PEGylated biopharmaceuticals.
